A Christian Family In Dire Need - PLEASE Read...

Sometimes it is just the right thing to do. And sometimes, doing that "right thing" is so easy to do.

When was the last time you committed a random act of kindness to help a stranger in need? Have you done that today? Yesterday? This week?

There is a good, Christian family in the tiny hamlet of Limington Maine that is in dire need of your prayers, and perhaps an act of caring. I will tell you their story, and let you decide whether or not a random act of kindness is a worthy thing to do this day.

The family is an elder man, his loving wife and their teenaged daughter who suffers Tourette's Syndrome. The family also includes 4 miniature schnauzers (see photo) and two cats that truly are beloved members of the family.

The husband and father, a good man has spent much of his own life helping others in need, volunteering in homeless shelters and soup kitchens, and just "being there" for anyone who needed a hand. He has never asked for anything in return, and no one has ever been turned away. Oftentimes he would help others even if it hurt himself to do so. He never really gave much thought to himself, and never complained, knowing that if the Good Lord is with you, who can be against you?

But now it is his turn to be the one in need. It is his time to have to rely on the "milk of human kindness" of others.

You see, this kind gentleman who has given so much of himself for 60 years is suddenly facing dire circumstances beyond that which he can handle alone. He has been diagnosed with emphysema, chronic bronchitis and diverticulitis. Because of his condition and age, he is unable to find work, but was declined for disability. He is also uninsured, and uninsurable. The loss of income has resulted in 40 years of perfect credit being totally destroyed, as financial obligations could no longer be met. What little they had saved is long gone, trying to simply survive another day. His loving and faithful wife has only been able to find a part-time job at WalMart. And his daughter also works part-time to try and help save the family from losing everything - even one another.

Part-time jobs at WalMart cannot save the family farm.

This good family is struggling, and fighting a losing battle to keep their home. If they lose their home, there is nowhere else to go and still keep the family together - their beloved dogs and cats would have to go. No landlord will rent to a family with so many pets. So, the family fights to stay together. And they are losing the battle to save their home and their family just as the husband is losing his battle with emphysema. He cries not for himself, but for his family who will be left homeless and broken.

So why am I telling you this? Because this man and his family does not believe the Good Lord has forgotten them. They have faith that this is but a test. Not only a test of them - a test of you, as well.

I, too, believe that God is watching, to see who steps up to the plate with a random act of kindness to help their fellow man. You need not put yourself out in order to step up. You simply need to care.

So, when was the last time you committed a random act of kindness to help a stranger in need? Have you done that today? Yesterday? This week?

You can show that you care about this family you have never met - but you know them all the same. You know them because, but for the Grace of God, it could be you. You can show you care by offering up a prayer for them. And if you are of a mind to commit a random AOK (act of kindness) today, under His watchful eye, a page has been created at right here where you can send this family a dollar. Just one dollar. That one, single dollar that means so little to you will mean everything to this family - and perhaps to a much Higher Power. For your random act of kindness will not go unnoticed.

And while we both know that, like this family, you ask nothing in return, I will personally thank each person who contributes one dollar to this family by sending each donor a free copy of the book, "Success By Design - Enriching Your Life Through Self-Improvement". And anyone who gifts $10 or more will be given access to the complete download of "The Simple Man's Guide to Real Estate Investing", complete with software (retails for $49.95). When you see everything your $10 gift gets you, and does for this family, you will want to tell everyne you know. Never again will $10 go so far or do so much for so many. I, too, ask nothing in return except this: pass this message on to everyone you know. Pass it around your social network. Email it to everyone in your address book. Tell your family and friends. giving them the same opportunity to save just a little piece of our own humanity. Together, as people of faith, we can make a difference. We MUST make a difference. After all, if together we cannot even help one good family in dire need, what hope is there to save the world? If you do not pass this on, we all lose.

This is one time you hold the power to make a difference. Even if you cannot gift $1, you can still offer up a prayer for this family. And you can help set the internet ablaze with this appeal, helping to create a good outcome for the family. Get this message to everyone.

No, this is not a "recognized" charity - no tax deduction for your gift. Your reward will be waiting elsewhere.

Thank you, and God Bless
