Morgan Freeman says Tea Party is racist - but maybe HE is the racist...

Morgan Freeman, in an interview with Piers Morgan said, ""Their stated policy, publicly stated, is to do whatever it takes to see to it that Obama only serves one term," the actor said. "What’s, what does that, what underlines that? 'Screw the country. We’re going to whatever we do to get this black man, we can, we’re going to do whatever we can to get this black man outta here.'"

Declaring once again that "it's a racist thing," Freeman said the group's rise has shown the hate still lingering in America.

I - and most sane and reasonable people - believe it is not the Tea Party that is racist, but rather the people who call it racist.

The Tea Party does oppose Obama, and does want him replaced. But it has nothing to do with his color. His color did not add $5.3 trillion to the debt. His color did not alienate Israel. His color did not waste $800 billion on "stimulus" that stimulated nothing but government growth. His color is not asking for huge tax increases, while opposing spending cuts. His color did not blow half a billion tax dollars on Solyndra. No, it has nothing to do with his color. It has to do with his socialist tendancy, and his complete incompetence.

But people like Freeman simply cannot grasp that. All THEY can see is color. Therefore, if you oppose Obama, it just has to be about color.

Freeman and other left-wing loons should first understand what TEA party stands for - T(axed) E(nough) A(lready). The Tea Party, by its name and nature opposes higher taxes and the growth of government that higher taxes support. Obama is just the opposite. And that is why the Tea Party opposes him.

Color? Frankly, we really don't give a rat's butt about color. But people like Freeman obviously think about little else. That makes Freeman the racist. The Tea Party includes black, yellow, red, brown and white folks, so I find it ludicrous to call them "racist".

Just an idle observation here --- using Freeman's "logic", if he and other people of color opposed George W Bush, and wanted to make him a one-term president, does that not make them racist, and opposed to him because he was white?

When color makes a difference, that is racism. And color makes all the difference to Freeman and others who see color first.
