Maybe A Coincidence. Maybe Not. Huge Power Outage As Solar Flare "Glances" Earth

This may well be nothing more than coincidence, but just yesterday the National Weather Service announced a huge solar flare would deal a glancing blow to Earth. And today, tens of thousands of people were without power after a major outage knocked out electricity from Southern California to the Arizona border on Thursday afternoon.

Outages were reported across San Diego County and all the way to Yuma, Ariz. Residents in San Clemente in Orange County, north of San Diego, also said their lights were out.

So far, the power officials have no clue what caused this huge power failure. We'll see...

Myopic Liberals - Can Only See ONE Side...

In his speech this evening, Obama said, "We need a tax code where everyone gets a fair shake, and everybody pays their fair share. And I believe the vast majority of wealthy Americans and CEOs are willing to do just that, if it helps the economy grow and gets our fiscal house in order." In other words, his idea of "everyone gets a fair shake and everybody pays a fair share" does not actually mean EVERYBODY. It simply means add more tax burden on the rich.

I like the idea of everybody paying a fair share, but MY idea of "everybody" is EVERYBODY. Currently, 47% of all workers pay ZERO tax, and many of them even get back more than they paid in.

Hey, Mr. Obama - look up the definition of "everybody" - and also "fair". Just because a person does not make $50K a year does not mean they should get away without paying ANY share of the burden. Even the poor, if they earn a living, should pay something. They benefit from the roads, schools and national defense. They should be vested in it. Even the poor, if they have a job, can afford $5-$10 a week. How do I know this? Because those same "poor" people smoke $5 a pack cigarettes, drink beer and wine, and have cellphones and computers.

Yes, EVERY worker can and should pay something. The word "everybody" means just that, Mr President.

Solar Flares - Dodging The Bullet - This Time...

WASHINGTON -- The National Weather Service says a new, large solar flare that erupted on the sun on Tuesday should provide only a glancing blow on Earth on Friday and is unlikely to cause any problems and there should be no radio, satellite or electrical grid disruptions.

But as I have posted several times in the last 3 years, during the height of this new, active solar cycle (from 2011-2013) there is likely to be many more large flares - much larger than this one - and all it takes is for one to place a direct blow. This one will "glance" us. The next may not.

Once again I implore my readers to take whatever level of preparations they can afford to do. If the grid comes down, for example, experts say it could be down for months, or even years as a direct hit could literally fry transformers. Remember - if power is down nationwide, there will be no factories running to produce the replacement equipment needed. It would be like trying to run the Boston Marathon with two broken ankles.

Think about it.

Sense Of Entitlement Gone Wild...

Last month, 22 KraftMaid employees in Youngstown, Ohio who regularly pooled their money to buy lottery tickets won the Mega Millions draw, TV station WEWS reported. But one man, Edward Hairston, missed out on the big prize because he'd been on sick leave for three months and hadn't contributed his $5 to the pot in June, July and August, according to WCKN. Now Hairston is suing his newly rich colleagues for his share of the winnings.

This clown does not HAVE a share of the winnings, nor is he entiitled to any. He did not contribute his share for THREE MONTHS, and in particular did not contribute in any way to the winning ticket.

There is no reason why this idiot could not have got the $5/month fee to his "partners" to cover the period he was out. The fact is, he made NO ATTEMPT to continue being a part of the lottery partnership, and therefore was no longer party to it.

If you stop paying your mortgage for three months, you lose your home. Stop paying the electric bill and you will be using candles. Point is, if you want to dance to the tune, you have to pay the piper.

Any judge who even agrees to hear this frivolous suit should be tossed out to the curb.

Illegal Aliens Pocket $4.2 Billion Of Taxpayer Money...

Illegal aliens (undocumented workers, as liberals call them) collected $4.2 billion in a certain tax credit last year, according to a new audit.

The report from the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration looked only at a tax benefit known as the Additional Child Tax Credit, a refundable credit meant for working families. The audit found that as a result of vague U.S. law -- as well as an expansion of the tax credit in stimulus legislation and other measures -- the number of illegal workers collecting the money has skyrocketed.

By federal law, these people are not even supposed to be working. Therefore, they should not be filing and collecting money from U.S. taxpayers.

Liberals like to tell us that the illegals also pay taxes - but they do not. 49% of ALL workers pay ZERO tax. Illegals, usually earning less than American workers, certainly fall into that category. If, in fact they are paying taxes, then it would appear they are doing jobs that Americans WOULD do. Ergo, they would be taking jobs away from Americans.

So, which is it, liberals? Are they taking jobs away from Americans, or are they getting a free ride and free tax money?

In either case, it is very, very wrong and we need to put a stop to it.

Solar Company SOLYNDRA Bankrupt After Obama Gives Them A Half Billion In Taxpayer Money

Solyndra, a solar panel company in Fremont, CA has filed bankruptcy. It is the third solar company to go bust in the last 30 days. But what makes this one unique is that President Obama's administration pumped $535,000,000 taxpayer bucks into the company.

Kinda makes ya woner - even if they sold ZERO panels, how could a half billion bucks disappear in just one year?

Simple answer - more "redistribution of wealth" slight of hand.
